Koeman: I don't think this was my last match at Barca

"I don't think this is my last [game in charge at Barcelona]. I have a contract, and I don't know... There's a lot of talk about my future, but I am calm. If the club wants to change anything, they need to talk to me about it," Ronald Koeman said after the Eibar game, as quoted by MARCA.

As per the recent reports, Koeman is most likely to be sacked by Barca this summer. The only scenario for him to remain in charge of the team for the next season is if Joan Laporta fails to find a good replacement, it's been said.

Under Koeman, the Catalans finished third in La Liga, won Copa del Rey and exited the Champions League at the round of 16 stage.

Koeman: 'This group of players doesn't have the quality to play for Barca'

"By the time we [the technical staff] arrived, the squad had already been completed. The only signing we made was Sergino Dest on the last day. This group of players, in every sense of the word, don't have the quality to play for Barca," Ronald Koeman told reporters after the Eibar game, as quoted by MARCA.

"A lot of people at the club think the same. We are trying to improve the squad. There are older players, with all due respect, who have shown that they have the level for this team. Others, the younger ones, need to gain experience and will be better with time.

"The squad hasn't been completed properly and you can't do that in a season. [We needed that] in order to be better, more effective in front of the goal. We were the ones who scored the most goals but the conversion rate is worse than it should be at a team like Barca."

Meanwhile, there have been numerous reports that Joan Laporta is planning a squad revolution at Barca this summer. It's said that as many as 14 players could leave, and even the club veterans aren't guaranteed a place in the squad for the next season.

Atletico win La Liga, Suarez scores and becomes MotM in decisive win

Atletico Madrid have officially won the 2020/21 La Liga after beating Real Valladolid 2-1. The Rojiblancos were trailing 1-0 but managed to pull off a comeback, with former Barcelona player Luis Suarez scoring the title-winning goal. As a reminder, the Catalans let the Uruguayan join our rivals for free.

Real Madrid beat Villarreal 2-1 in their game, so anything but a win from Atleti would've resulted in Los Blancos winning the title.

Barcelona, meanwhile, have secured the third spot after beating Eibar 1-0 away thanks to a goal from Antoine Griezmann. The Catalans have now missed on the league title for the second season in a row.
