'He almost turns Vidal into a eunuch and Argentina fans still say it's not a pen': Awkward tackle in Argentina v Chile causes much debate – and jokes

Argentina drew Chile 1-1 in their 2021 Copa America opener on Monday night.

It was Arturo Vidal who earned a decisive penalty for his side in the second half. Even though the ex-Culer failed to convert the spot-kick, Eduardo Vargas cancelled Lionel Messi's opener on the rebound.

The funny thing is that Vidal visibly got kicked in his testicles by Nicolas Tagliafico in the penalty incident.

Moments before Tagliafico's tackle, Arturo mishited the ball but the referee still gave a penalty to Chile.

Despite Argentina players signalling a hand-ball in Vargas' rebound after Emiliano Martinez's save, the goals was counted.

Here's how fans on Twitter have reacted to the controversial incident.
