“That wouldn’t be bad!” Eric Garcia has told Sport when asked if Sergio Aguero would solve Spain's goalscoring woes.
“I don’t need to talk too much about him, he’s got tired of scoring goals in England. I hope he can do it with us too (at Barca).”
Garcia's interview comes after La Furia Roja's 0-0 draw with Sweden in their Euro 2020 opener on Monday. Alvaro Morata's missed sitter vs the Swedish side arguably cost Luis Enrique's men all three points in Seville.
“The whole team is capable of scoring goals. Alvaro had the bad luck of the chance, but we all know that he’s a great player, he has our confidence, our support and he’ll score a lot of goals,” the Barcelona centre-back added on his national side teammate.
As a reminder, Morata has scored just twice in his last eight appearances for Spain across all competitions.
