“There is still nothing concrete. We will also see what Lautaro wants, he is 23 years old and his opinion is very important,” Lautaro Martinez's agent Alejandro Camano has said in an interview with Radio Colonia.
As per reports, Inter are open to the Argentine's departure for €90m this summer due to the club's financial problems.
“The prices that two years ago were normal, now after Covid they were devalued,” Camano added on his client's current valuation.
Last week, Lautaro's agent also said that the 23-year-old 'would like to play for Barcelona'.
For now, there's no agreement between Inter and Martinez over a contract renewal with the Argentina international's current deal expiring in 2023.
“I think that Inter is in a very strong position with Lautaro because he believes that because he is champion of the League and is a scorer, he wants it yes or yes. What rules the world are the budgets, if they had to get rid of it they would not do it for a small amount,” Camano concluded.
“The only one who is going to leave Inter, for now, is Hakimi whom I also represent. We have to work on the Lautaro issue, but there is still no clear situation.”
'It's exaggerated': Martinez's agent denies Inter's €90m price tag for Lautaro after flirting with Barca
"Everything has a price, even though it doesn't seem to me Inter are talking about selling. We have to see what happens in the market depending on Inter's situation."
In the same interview, Camano claimed that his client 'would like to play for Barcelona'. According to reports, the Catalans are still interested in the Argentine despite missing out on his signing in 2020.
Martinez's agent: 'Of course Lautaro would like to play for Barcelona'
"Lautaro is ready for any challenge. He's a player that doesn't go unnoticed and can handle any sort of responsibility."
The Argentine has long been linked with a move to Camp Nou. The Catalans are believed to be keen on signing the 23-year-old this summer but they are yet to make contact with Camano, the agent says.
"No one from Barcelona has called me," Alejandro continued.
"I have a very good relationship with Mateu [Alemany, Barca's sporting director], but there's nothing, so we're not thinking about it now."
Earlier this year, Lautaro revealed that he was 'really close' to joining the Blaugrana in 2020 but he decided to stay at the Nerazzurri instead.
In that regard, Camano added: "I don't know what happened last year with Lauti, they told me that his ex-agent had spoken about Barca, but it was all a bit confusing... our job now is to find out the situation with Inter's project and to listen to the offers that arrive.
"We are good as we are, but we will see..."
Martinez is tied with the Serie A champions until 2023. As per reports, Inter might be forced to sell the Argentina international in the following months due to the club's financial problems.
