Scotland's Billy Gilmour wins Star of the Match vs England – he names Barca legend his idol and it's not Messi

Scotland's 20-year-old central midfielder Billy Gilmour has won the Star of the Match against England at Euro 2020.

Interestingly, this was the player's first starting appearance for his national side.

On numerous occasions already, the youngster has named Barca greats his idols. Just take a look.

January 2020: "I loved watching Iniesta and Xavi. They were my favorite players. Looking at Xavi and Iniesta, that's what I wanted to focus my game on."

March 2020: "It [the idol] was always Iniesta. I just loved the way he played, how he got the ball, passing the ball. I like to get on the ball, drop deep a lot and create play. I've always been told to work hard and everything else will fall in place."

April 2020: "When I started to analyse my game and think about who I would like to progress to be like, it was more like Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Cesc Fabregas - it was those players. It was something about how they passed the ball, receiving the ball, everything was sharp."

Also that year, it was reported that Barca had scouted Billy Gilmour 'for years'. Would you make a move for Chelsea's young revelation?
