Cristian Romero wants to join Tottenham, Barca situation explained – Fabrizio Romano

"Tottenham have been in talks today too with Atalanta to improve soon their bid [around €50m guaranteed] for Cristian Romero," Fabrizio Romano has tweeted.

"Romero is called up for training on Monday but hopes for deal to be completed as soon as possible. He wants Spurs. Again, NO Barca bid or talks," he added.

Earlier, it was reported by other sources that Barcelona were preparing a loan offer for Romero with an obligatory buyout option.

The 23-year-old was part of the glorious Argentina squad at Copa America. The Atalanta star also proved himself quite well in Serie A last season.
