"It is a pleasure to be here at Barcelona. I had a dream of being here and I promise that I will always do my best. It is very difficult to be here and I will take the opportunity in the best way possible. Hard work is what I promise to you, the fans and the club representatives," Emerson Royal said during his presentation at Camp Nou.
"For me, it is a pride to be here, for everything. I started at the age of nine at Atletico Mineiro and they helped me a lot. Later I was at Real Betis where they demanded a lot from me. Now I'm at Barcelona, it's a very great pride."
Emerson has become the last of the four players Barca signed this summer to be presented. He has now joined the pre-season and is training alongside some of his new teammates at Ciutat Esportiva. The rest of the squad is in Germany.
