"I worked with Luuk de Jong for a long time at PSV. For us, he was the most important player," former Barcelona midfielder Boudewijn Zenden has told RAC1.
"He is experienced and very intelligent. He generates a good feeling in the dressing room and he also talks to a coach a lot to improve things.
"When you come to Barca you need some time to adapt. Frenkie de Jong did not play badly his first season, but the second was already much better. Luuk de Jong has already played in Spain and knows how things work, he will not be surprised by the Barca style," Zenden concluded.
So, what we've got: experience, intelligence, cheerfulness, willingness to discuss things with the coach. Let's hope that's what Ronald Koeman is asking from his extra forward.
Luuk de Jong has joined Barca on a season-long loan. The 31-year-old is known to be a decent aerial threat.
