Barca trying to find new club for Collado as he risks not playing until January (reliability: 5 stars)

Alex Collado is currently in limbo after his loan move to Sheffield United on the deadline day fell through.

The 22-year-old is registered with neither with the first team nor Barcelona B, so he might be unable to play until January, but Barcelona don't want to leave things like that, Mundo Deportivo's reliable Ferran Martinez reports.

The idea is to find Collado a club in a country where the transfer market is still open, it's reported.

For example, Miralem Pjanic was able to leave Barca for Besiktas after September 1 as the transfer window in Turkey is still open.

Another option would be to register Alex at Barca B again. However, this is going to be complicated because of the legal work it would take to pull off.

As a reminder, the La Masia graduate was close to joining Sheffield United on August 31 but his move fell through at the eleventh hour because of some bureaucratic issue.
