"Xavi is in a very interesting process, evolving very well, I have very good references. I speak to him very often, I have a healthy relationship with him, and I know his opinion about the team and what he thinks should be done," Joan Laporta has told the media.
"I will keep the options we have for myself. We would not act like professionals as it could harm us.
"I have always said that Xavi would coach Barça one day. He loves football, he belongs to Barça and that was and is his goal. I trust the people next to me, who follow him and know him, him and other coaches," he also said.
Xavi is said to be 'the chosen one' to replace Ronald Koeman at Barcelona. The two parties reportedly have a complete agreement regarding the 41-year-old's arrival.
