Memphis only behind Messi in terms of outside-the-box goals

With 34 goals, only Leo Messi has scored more goals from outside the penalty box than Memphis Depay since the start of 2018, Opta report.

The Dutchman, on his part, has scored 13 goals. He is level with Napoli's Dries Mertens.

Depay's latest goal from outside the box came against Alaves. It was also his first goal from outside the box for Barcelona.

This term so far, the 27-year-old has played 14 matches for Barca, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
