Barcelona and Xavi have reportedly set their eyes on a real wonderkid.
Forward Karim Adeyemi is doing wonders for RB Salzburg, scoring in the Champions League and in the Austrian Bundesliga on a permanent basis.
He's got 15 goals in 22 appearances for the reigning Austrian champions this season!
Let's see how he could help Barca in the long term.
Option 1
Ter Stegen; Dest/Dani Alves, Araujo, Pique/Garcia, Alba; Gavi/Pedri/Puig, Busquets, De Jong; Fati, Adeyemi, Memphis.
Barca's attack could become even pacier with Adeyemi up front: basically, speed is his best skill while he's also superb at converting chances.
Centre-forward is a position in which he plays most of his games for Salzburg; with teammates like Ansu Fati and Memphis Depay, he should have no problems receiving the ball in the right place at the right time and running with the ball forward.
Option 2
Ter Stegen; Araujo, Pique, Garcia; Dest/Dani Alves, Gavi/Pedri/Puig, De Jong, Alba; Adeyemi/Dembele, Fati, Memphis/Adeyemi.
While Adeyemi is mostly known as a striker, he could also use his acceleration and the ability to use wide spaces to play as a winger.
The German has played on each side from time to time in his career. In his first appearance with Germany's national team, Adeyemi played as a right winger and scored a goal after just 18 minutes.
In this case, Ansu Fati could be our no. 9.
❓ Thoughts, Cules? How would you fit Adeyemi into Barca's starting eleven?
