French outlet L'Equipe have assessed Leo Messi's performance against Manchester City at just 4/10 – this is the worst mark among all PSG players on Wednesday.
"Yes, he delivers the almost decisive pass to Mbappe [for the goal], yes, he initiates some situations by his work as a pivot between the lines, but we are entitled to expect more [from] a six-time Ballon d'Or [winner]. In the [build up] of the game, he must [do] more," the paper says.
"Some of his [final third] choices were hit and miss. More worrying, sometimes, he [looked] overwhelmed against defenders," the editors add.
Only Ander Herrera, Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi got the same mark for yesterday's performance.
Manchester City won 2-1.
Earlier, Messi got 3/10 for his outing against Lille when he got subbed off at half time.
Clearly, things don't go well for Leo at PSG – but we all know he may turn on the beast mode at any moment.
