Gerard Pique: 'I'll rather die than play for Real Madrid

Gerard Pique finally got his wish of attending the El Hormiguero TV program in Madrid.

While there, the interviewer teased Pique, asking him if he would ever sign for Real Madrid.

The defender's response was definite: "I'll rather die than play for Real Madrid," Pique said.

Pique joined Barca Academy in 1999. He did leave the club in 2004 to England.

However, after 13 years in Barcelona's first team, Pique's loyalty to Barca can hardly be contested.
