Barca hopes to terminate Demir's contract on Monday so he doesn't return for training (reliability: 4 stars)

Barcelona consider terminating the contract of Yusuf Demir already on Monday, Diario Sport's reliable Lluis Miguelsanz claims.

The players are expected to return to training on December 27, and this would mean that the Austrian doesn't have to come back from his holiday.

Barca intend to terminate the loan agreement because they don't want to pay the €10m clause if Demir plays one more game. Besides, they would be saving half of his salary.

If the contract is terminated, Yusuf will return to being a Rapid Wien player. However, he is expected to be immediately loaned out to Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund have been named as potential destinations.
