3 ways how Barca can line up with Adama Traore

Adama Traore is going to re-sign for Barcelona almost 7 years after leaving the club for English football.

Let's think about how exactly he could help us until the end of the season.

Option 1

Adama Traore's natural position is on the right wing where he plays most of the time.

Already at his first press conference as a Barca manager, Xavi said that he would love to have a wide winger in his 4-3-3 formation – Adama is possibly the best player he could have at his disposal.

He is incredibly pacy, he adds width to a team's attacks. Adama could really help Barca create danger against teams defending in a low block, like Cadiz – even if it doesn't mean scoring goals (as we all know, finishing isn't Traore's best quality).

Option 2

Ter Stegen; Dani Alves, Araujo, Garcia, Alba; Pedri, Busquets, Gavi; Torres, L. de Jong, Traore.

The same option but with Adama on the left side.

The Spaniard is capable of playing on both wings. This season, he has made 6 appearances for Wolves on the left but recorded no goal contributions.

Traore and Ferran Torres could basically switch sides right during the game. We've already seen Ferran doing it for Barca, and Adama could do exactly the same.

Option 3

Ter Stegen; Araujo, Garcia, Pique; Traore, Pedri, Gavi, Alba; Torres, L. de Jong, Memphis.

Thanks to his pace and physical abilities, Adama Traore could also track back if needed. With him as a wide midfielder, Ferran Torres could play the role of an inside forward, making Barca's attack even stronger.

We don't think it's going to be one of Xavi's favourite line-up options but he could definitely use it from time to time.
