Dembele shortlisted for prestigious individual award, Benzema on the list too

Ousmane Dembele is among the 5 nominees for the UNFP Trophy for the best French player outside France.

The other nominees are Karim Benzema, Theo Hernandez, N'Golo Kante and Mike Maignan.

While it is quite clear that Benzema is the favourite to win this one, it is uplifting to see Dembele on this list. Even last year, it was unimaginable to see him receive any individual prize.

Dembele is currently La Liga's top assistant this season.
