3 Barca players impress, one doesn't as Spain beat Switzerland

Spain have defeated Switzerland 1-0 in the UEFA Nations League group stage.

Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Gavi and Ferran Torres all played the game from minute one. Eric Garcia and Ansu Fati were unused subs.

Here we assess our players' individual performances on Thursday night.

Best players

Sergio Busquets

Another masterclass from the 33-year-old who felt comfortable playing for the team that kept possession 65 per cent of the game time.

73/80 passes completed; 8/9 accurate long balls completed; one chance created; dispossessed only once; 2/2 tackles completed; 5 interceptions made; 4/8 duels won; 8 ball recoveries made; 2 fouls drawn.

Jordi Alba

The 33-year-old covered the whole left wing but was also active at the back, registering 3 successful tackles and blocking one shot.

Alba made even more touches than Busquets and had one key pass to his name.

Gavi

"I don't think anyone can say that they don't like Gavi," Luis Enrique told the media after the game.

The 17-year-old pleased the away crowd with his skills once again, made just 3 inaccurate passes out of 43 and was really helpful in defence.

As you see, he actually covered plenty of areas.

Worst players

Ferran Torres

Despite having played in his natural position - on the right wing - Ferran failed to make the difference in the 90 minutes of play he was given.

The forward lost possession 16 times – more than any other Spain player on the pitch, and looked easy to be contained.
