Barcelona and Gavi's entourage have reached an agreement over the new contract length and future release clause, Cadena COPE's Helena Condis (5 stars) reports.
The 17-year-old will sign a new deal until 2026 and will have a release clause of €1 billion.
However, the parties are yet to find common ground regarding the youngster's salary. A new meeting is expected next week.
It's believed that Gavi will eventually extend his contract, but it's not imminent yet.
In the 2021/22 season, Gavi recorded two goals and six assists in 46 matches for Barca.
