There are two main reasons why Aubameyang has probably chosen to retire. 

1. He wants to focus on succeeding at Barcelona for the next few years left of his career. 

2. At 32, he's given so much for Gabon already, and wants to allow the younger players to step. 

Admittedly, there could be other underlining reasons why Auba has quit international football.

Something is wrong with the economics of Barca. They always find it difficult to forecast when it comes to negotiations either in signing in or selling a player
