Barca are definitely a strong contender for this title. They enter from the round of and have to play just five games to win the trophy.
The Copa del Rey is Barca's competition given that they've won it 6 times in the last 10 years.
On the contrary, it is not Real Madrid's competition - they've only been to five finals this century, winning two. The last time it happened was 8 years ago.
However, Barca have to defeat the teams like Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad, Valencia and Real Betis who see the Cup as their hope of silverware.

La Liga
La Liga is one competition Barca knows how to win - even with their recent struggles, Barca have finished as runner-up in two of the last three seasons.
This season presents the Blaugrana with a chance to win the league for the first time in four years. They can only take that chance if they maintain a good run of form from the start.
It is clear that Real Madrid are not invincible - Barca beat them 4-0 in March. Altetico Madrid also seems to bottle it when it matters most.
The fitness condition of the Barca players will also play a part in the season. The Blaugrana suffered more than 20 injuries last term.

Champions League
Barcelona have not won the Champions League since Messi, Suarez and Neymar were spitting venom in attack, together in the same team back in 2015.
The competition remains elusive to the Blaugrana because they've not had a truly competitive team that can challenge for Europe's biggest trophy.
Perhaps the signing of Kessie, Lewandowski and Kounde can help. Still, we can only rate their chances at 50/50. Barca would need a lot of luck to win it.
