Official: Francisco Trincao leaves Barcelona on loan

 have officially left Barcelona on a season-long loan deal to 

 inserted a buy option in Trincao's loan deal which mandates the Portuguese club to sign the winger for €20m. 

However, the buy option will only be activated if Trincao plays 90 minutes in 15 separate matches.

The Portuguese attacker spent last season on loan at Wolves.

 earlier on Monday, Portuguese source A Bola reports.

The forward will join the Primeira Liga side on a season-long loan, with a €20m option to buy.

 will have a buy-back option that could be triggered in case Sporting decide to buy Trincao.

The Catalans would have to pay €15m to bring him back at the end of this season, €17.5m in the summer of 2024 and €20m in the summer of 2025.

So in case Trincao finally realises his immense potential, Barca would be able to conveniently get him back.

The winger had a mandatory buy clause in his loan deal with the English club, which involves a penalty if Wolves refused to activate it. 

It shows that the Portuguese did not really blossom in England as he managed just three goalscoring contributions (2 goals, 1 assist) in his 28 Premier League games. 

 may not want Trincao either - there are reports claiming that the 22-year-old is about to be sent on loan to Portugal.
