Barcelona were held to a 2-2 draw by Juventus on Wednesday after leading twice via an Ousmane Dembele brace.
Xavi used the occasion to tinker with his team with some experiments clear for every onlooker.
De Jong at centre-back
For the third game in a row, Xavi featured Frenkie De Jong at the centre of his defence. The Dutchman is not too comfortable in that position but Xavi in his wisdom sees him as an option for that position.
Against Juve, De Jong came off the bench for Eric Garcia to play at centre-back. However, he made an error that almost led to the winning goal by Juve.
Aubamenyang and Lewandowski together
Perhaps Xavi wants to create some sort of partnership with Robert Lewandowski playing together with Aubameyang.
We already know that Lewandowski and Aubameyang can play together based on their performance together in the past.
Against Juve though, they didn't seem to link up that well, as neither was doing a good job of dropping deep to get the ball.
