I’ve been a professional cricket player myself and played in Middlesex cricket league as well , even though I wasn’t paid a small percentage what de Jong is earning right now I still agreed a lesser pay for the club I played for whereas I could’ve played for other clubs offering more money. I believe in loyalty and respect over money unlike some of you greedy individuals. We are talking about 15 million a year it’s not as if he’s earning 100 dollars a week and they asked him to take 50 and that he’ll be unable to take care of his family. The amount he earns weekly normal people can live off it for decades.

De Jong can easily help the club and that’ll make the team more competitive and make more chances of him going down in history with more silverware but seems like he’s too selfish and is only concerned about money. If we get the opportunity we should ship him off to another club asap. Being a good player is important but being a good human being is way more important.
