Dembele names coach who changed his career for the better, it's not Xavi

"There was a point where I was so afraid of injuries. I would worry about getting injured after doing every turn. Everything changed when Koeman came," Ousmane Dembele has told Mundo Deportivo.

Dembele was still quite injury-prone when Ronald Koeman was in charge – yet it didn't prevent him from contributing massively to Barca's Copa del Rey success of 2021.

Under Koeman, the player seemed in a much better shape physically and mentally.

A year after that, the Frenchman fully rediscovered his best form and finished the season as La Liga's top assistant.
