One of Ronald Koeman's first decisions as the Barcelona coach was to push Luis Suarez out of the club. The striker even had to train separately before he completed his move to Atletico Madrid.
In a recent interview with Marca, Suarez was asked if he would shake hands with Koeman if they ever met.
"Time passes and out of respect, I would, but I hope Koeman would have the same greatness and tell the truth to my face about why I left. It was not a technical or footballing reason," the Uruguayan said.
In 2020, Suarez was definitely past his prime, but he was still a useful asset. He proved it by leading his new club Atletico to the league title.
The media speculated that the real reasons why Barca parted ways with El Pistolero were his high salary and alleged toxicity.
