'Barca didn't have confidence in me': Riqui Puig on improved performances at LA Galaxy

"For a player to grow, they have to give him confidence and he will perform at 100%. At Barcelona, they didn't have confidence in me. Here at LA Galaxy they trust me, and I've been able to show how I play," Riqui Puig has said.

Riqui is enjoying a great run in the MLS. The La Masia graduate has recorded three goals and two assists in 11 matches (10 starts) for LA Galaxy. The 23-year-old has proven to be a key addition to the team, helping them qualify for playoffs.

In his last year at Barca, Puig made 18 appearances but started in only three games. It was no surprise when Xavi made the decision to sell the young midfielder.
