Gavi reveals his 2 idols — one of them played for Real Madrid

In an interview with France Football, Gavi was asked who were his idols growing up.

"I had two idols, Iniesta and Isco," the Barcelona midfielder revealed.

Gavi idolizing Iniesta is easy to explain as the midfielder grew up supporting Barca. Besides, Andres was a Spanish hero after his winning goal in the 2010 World Cup final.

As for Isco, perhaps the 18-year-old started following him when he was still playing for Malaga. He comes from the same region as Gavi, and that could also be a reason.

Interestingly, Isco too won the Golden Boy award (2012). Thus, the Barca youngster has reached his idols' level at least in one regard.
