Quique Setien finally returns to coaching after being fired from 

Setien coached Barca for 25 matches during the 2019/20 season, winning 16 games, drawing 4 and losing 5. He failed to win a single trophy and was sacked after the horrific 8-2 loss to 

As per reports at the time, Quique could not bring the dressing room together and had tense relations with some of the veterans.

This is going to be the first time that Setien coaches a club outside of Spain. He did have a spell overseas, coaching the Equatorial Guinea national team for three months back in 2006.

Quique spent seven months at Barca and was dismissed following the 8-2 loss to 

 in August 2020. He has been without a job since then.

], I am perfectly aware that a manager's future depends on the results and if you do not win, you will last for just three games," 

"I have already paid the price. I don't regret signing for Barcelona, it was a dream. But when I was there, I found out a lot of things that surprised me – very, very complicated situations that I could not solve or where I had to look for other solutions.

"But now, there is no turning back. It coincided with a difficult stage for the club, followed by a series of complicated events. I'm to blame indeed but I can't take the blame for everything that happened at Barca," the ex-Barca manager concluded.

Quique Setien didn't impress as Barca manager but it's worth a mention that his Blaugrana spell coincided with a tough period for the club – there was much mounting pressure that was pushing Josep Maria Bartomeu for the resignation.

He did great at Betis. 
These are the type of coaches that constitute nuisance to big teams in the league. He and VVD have been like that ever since before each came to Barca.

People forget that he improved the team after taking over from Valverde. We were scoring more and conceded less. Unfortunately injuries and player power was his downfall

Setien is a good coach.. he just had a bad spell at Barcelona.. same thing as Sampoali who is back in seville but wqs well i won't say that bad for Argentina
