European country asked Raphinha to pick them over Brazil – reason he declined revealed

Raphinha was approached by Italy to play for them during his days at Leeds United, per Sport.

The 25-year-old politely declined the offer because he had the dream of playing for Brazil like his idol Ronaldinho.

Brazil would eventually call Raphinha and he has so far made 11 appearances for the Selecao scoring 5 goals and registering 4 assists. That shows the terrifying form he's been in for Brazil.

Raphinha was eligible to play for Italy as his father is Italian. But the winger was born and bred in the slums of Brazil.
