Barca identify Pedro Porro and one more as right-back target – Trincao’s role over potential signing explained

Barcelona have earmarked Sporting Lisbon right-back Pedro Porro and Girona defender Arnau Martinez to fix their issues at right-back, as per Relevo.

The club are monitoring both of them, but are yet to make a definitive move for him.

Incidentally, Barca feels like they can use loanee Francisco Trincao to sign Porro for a relatively cheap fee.

Trincao is on loan at Sporting with an opton to buy for €10m. The Blaugrana feels they can use that amount to lower Porro’s fee, with the right-back valued at €25m.

Martinez has a release clause of around €20m, meaning that he two basically cost about the same.

Barca are likely to push for a new-right signing in the summer to add more quality to that position.
