Araujo reportedly ruled out of Uruguay’s first two World Cup games, doubt for the third

In the last few days, there has been an increasing concern within the Barcelona camp over the Ronald Araujo's situation.

Yet to fully recover from a thigh injury, the defender was named in the Uruguay squad for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

La Celeste was accused of rushing the player back in action, which has led to the Catalans considering a formal complaint to FIFA.

However, according to Helena Condis of COPE, Uruguay have not breached any agreement they had with Barca.

The 23-year-old is definitively ruled out of their first two group matches against South Korea and Portugal. He is highly doubtful to feature against Ghana on December 2 as well.

Uruguay do not intend to risk the player until he is fully recovered.
