Real Madrid have gone and spent €72 million on a 16-year-old player named Endrick Felipe, as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. He won't even be eligible to play for them until 2024.
Barcelona were interested in Endrick but lost out because they weren't willing to splash that much cash on an unproven player.
One football fan on Twitter has criticized Barcelona for refusing to move on from Lionel Messi whereas Real Madrid are already investing into their future like they just did with Endrick.
"All Barcelona fans talk about is Messi and Messi's return," Travis writes on Twitter.
"Real Madrid doesn't contemplate Ronaldo or Ronaldo's return at all. Real Madrid looks forward with Vinicius, Rodrygo, Fede [Valverde], Tchouameni, Endrick and the new stadium.
"Barcelona meanwhile choose to be stuck in the past."
You have to say this fan has a point with the Messi argument but Barcelona also have lots of youngsters they are banking on, like Pedri, Gavi, Fati and Pablo Torre.
