Hakim Ziyech has emerged as a hot topic recently due to Barca links.
Even Chelsea's great Ruud Gullit has commented on Ziyech's future, backing the Moroccan to succeed at Camp Nou.
"I would love to see him at Barca, he would fit in perfectly. He just needs to play on the right wing, and in Spain he could be back to his best".
We believe there are at least two reasons why going for Hakim Ziyech makes no sense for Barcelona.
1.Right wing already occupied
We already have two world class right wingers in Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha.
In fact, with Raphinha struggling for minutes due to Dembele’s good form, nothing suggests Barca need any more bodies in this spot.
2. He turns 30 in two months
Signing Ziyech would be another short-term solution and Barca already have enough of them.
On top of that, Ziyech's contract at Stamford Bridge runs until June 2025, and his market value is €20m-ish.
If we are being honest, we should better invest that amount in reinforcing the right-back position.
