Barca ready to make move for Man City star in case he decides to leave next summer -- it's not Bernardo

Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Joao Cancelo in case he decides to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, which seems to be a possibility, Diario Sport claim. AC Milan are also said to be interested in the Portuguese.

The Catalans consider him a world-class player who could solve their right-back problem. Barca assume that Cancelo will have a price tag but believe that their ties with his agent Jorge Mendes and Joao wanting to leave could make the operation possible.

The club have other options for the right-back spot for next summer, namely Benjamin Pavard and Thomas Meunier.

This season so far, the 28-year-old has played 26 matches for Man City and contributed with two goals and four assists.
