"If I were an assistant manager here or anywhere else and Barcelona called me... I would go to Barcelona. It's my club," Pep Guardiola has said at the latest presser.
This was Pep's response when he got asked about Mikel Arteta leaving Manchester City for Arsenal in 2019.
"When Arteta was my assistant at City, he celebrated all the goals madly, except for the ones against Arsenal. He loved Arsenal. Everyone has their own dreams and I know that he [Arteta] went to his club [Arsenal], the club he dreamed of," Guardiola explained.
The 52-year-old's current deal with Manchester City expires in 2025. Joan Laporta reportedly considers bringing the Catalan coach back to make him a board member one day.
