"Barcelona are a huge club in which all children dream of playing (...) Every child has this dream [of playing for a big club]. Having said that, Barca are a club that always give young players a chance. They are different," promising Brazilian striker Vitor Roque has told Globo.
"I know that Barcelona are interested in me, and so are other clubs. I have a contract [with Atletico Paranaense] until 2027. I'm doing my best here, and who knows... If it's good for the club, for me and for my family, I hope that a transfer can take place," the 18-year-old also said.
Barcelona reportedly consider Vitor Roque their priority target. The striker is expected to succeed Robert Lewandowski in a few years.
The Catalans could sign the Brazilian for €35-40m this summer. There is a good chance that the payment will be divided into parts.
The teenager has registered 11 goal contributions in 38 appearances for Atletico Paranaense so far.
