I think some of you might remember Jeffren Suarez – the man who 'hit the last nail in Real Madrid's coffin' by scoring the 5th goal in the iconic Clasico of 2010.
The Venezuelan was deemed to have a bright future at Barca. However, there was a very strong competition at the time as Blaugrana had plenty of options in attack.
Already in 2011, Barca decided to cash in on the attacker, receiving almost €4m from his move to Sporting Lisbon.
"As a player, I expected to be at Barcelona for longer, but we all know that at the time, they were the best club in history. It wasn't easy to play. There were times when I wasn't good physically, now it is all in the past. But yes, I would have liked to have been there a few more years and played more," Jeffren told Marca in 2018.
After leaving Barcelona, Jeffren never really found his place despite trying his luck at 8 different clubs. Following the 3-year spell with Sporting, he later played for Real Valladolid, Eupen (Belgium), Grasshoppers (Switzerland), AEK Larnaca (Cyprus), Slaven Belupo (Croatia), Al-Dhaid (UAE) and Lamphun Warrior (Thailand).
His goalscoring stats have been unimpressive wherever he played – maybe except for Thailand where he started his journey with a second-tier team.
Regardless of all difficulties faced during his career, he prefers to focus on positive moments.

And yeah, let's not forget he has one Champions League trophy - the one of 2010/11 - to his name, although his contribution was little as he only played 28 minutes in that campaign.
