Barcelona complete Inigo Martinez signing - Gerard Romero

According to a fresh report from Gerard Romero, Barcelona have completed the signing of Inigo Martinez.

The Spanish journalist claims that the centre-back has reached a full pre-agreement with the Catalans, and will join them on a free transfer once his Bilbao contract runs down in June.

Barcelona do not know if they will be able to register him, though, as they need to reduce their wage bill by over €200 million in the summer.

Therefore, Inigo has a clause in his contract that says that he will be loaned out to a different team if they are unable to register him.

His salary will remain the same, though.

For those who are complaining about signing old players, guys we have to admit that we are passing by a critical financial situation where we can do only FREE signings... Still Free Signing better than nothing! Definitely the free agents would be old players; we cannot find Haaland as free agent, this is normal... so please stop criticizing until we go back to a normal financial situation...
