Earlier today, Diario Sport reported that Frenkie de Jong was willing to push himself to be available for the match against Real Madrid on Wednesday. However, the credible Javi Miguel of Diario AS says that the Dutchman is practically ruled out for the game.
De Jong ended the training session on Saturday with a bad feeling and Barcelona are "pessimistic" about his chances to recover in time for the game.
Besides Frenkie, Xavi will also be unable to count on Pedri in midfield. With the two key players out, the coach plans to use Sergio Busquets, Franck Kessie and Sergi Roberto as his midfield trio while Gavi will play on the wing.
