The Polish striker played a major role in helping his side seal the 

 title and also took a step forward in the Pichichi Trophy race.

The Pichichi trophy is given to the player who scores the most number of goals at the end of the La Liga season.

Lewandowski took his tally to 21 goals for the season. He has scored four more goals than second-place 

The Barca star is moving closer to the Pichichi Trophy and needs to maintain his lead at the top of the standings to win the award in his debut season.

Balde & Araujo 9: Rating Barca players in La Liga-winning game v Espanyol

: 9/10. Terrorised the Espanyol right-back Oscar Gil with his runs and dribbles. Created the opening goal with an excellent run and cross for Lewandowski and then scored Barca's second goal, showing great positioning and agility.

: 9. Started the combination that led to Barca's opener with an excellent long-range pass to Balde. Was excellent at the back and Barca's defence fell apart after he came off.

 9. Was at the right space in the right time to open the scoring for Barca and then to score the third. Dropped deep often to link up with the midfielders and help move the ball forward more efficiently.

: 9. A brilliant save on Braithwaite late in the first half and then on Puado and Joselu after the interval.

: 8. Safe at the back, very dangerous going forward and a brilliant header on top of that.

: 8. Could have been better with his finishing as he wasted a good chance early on. Produced an incredible assist for Balde, gliding past the opposition defenders before finding the left-back with a lovely cross.

: 8. A lively performance, won the ball back numerous times and combined well with Balde. A magnificent assist for Kounde.

: 8. We're gonna miss him so much. Started the attack that led to Barca's third goal by winning the ball and playing a smart ball for Raphinha. Exuded confidence and control with his metronomic passing.

: 7. Showed excellent work rate and some good distribution.

: 6.5. Not particularly efficient in dribbling and lost the ball way too often but what a cutback for Barcelona's third goal.

I would have loved to have a situation where PENALTY kicks are not counted as part of goals to be considered or attached to a player.
Most of the goals credited to Cristiano  Ronaldo were Penalty kicks.  Now 40%of Benzema's goals are from penalties. Does this signifies any encouraging show o f ability ?
