Busquets names one year he 'enjoyed most' at Barcelona -- not the sextuple-winning one
Speaking in an interview with The Guardian, Sergio Busquets has opened up on his favourite year in the Barcelona shirt.
Surprisingly, it's not the sextuple-winning one. More that that, it's not even the one played in the Spanish top tier.
"Playing in Tercera was the year I enjoyed the most.
"It was like you’re playing with friends, without pressure, without the spotlight, with a coach who was the best in the world but at that time no one knew it."
"It was like I did a Masters with Pep that year: everything I learned, the things he taught me, everything he got across to you in training sessions."
For context: the season Busi's referring to is the 2007/08, Guardiola's first as a manager.
Under his guidance, Barca B won their Tercera group and qualified for the Segunda Division B playoffs, which the team won, thereby achieving promotion.
Next year, Pep was appointed as a first team manager. Busquets followed him in the senior squad. The rest is history.
