One player Deco will follow closely during Antwerp game – Barca could sign him in 2024

Barcelona will be closely watching Arthur Vermeeren who plays against the Catalans on Tuesday.

Vermeeren is a 18-year-old who can play both as a central and as a defensive midfielder. He is considered one of the biggest talents in his position.

The wonderkid is already an undisputed starter for his side, and his move to a bigger club seems a matter of time. Vermeeren is praised for his understanding of positional play, as well as for his technical attributes.

"I won't give you any information about Vermeeren, because if I gave it to you, Xavi would sign him immediately," Antwerp boss Mark van Bommel has recently told the media.

Barca had been following Vermeeren long before they got Antwerp in their Champions League group. The club could decide to go for the teenager next year, according to multiple sources.
