3 ways Barca could line up with Dani Olmo

Barcelona have been linked with the comeback of Dani Olmo!

What kind of value could the 25-year-old give Blaugrana? Let's see.

Option 1

Barca reportedly plan to use Olmo as an advanced playmaker on the left wing, reviving Xavi's 'favourite' formation with four midfielders – even if the current Blaugrana boss ends up leaving.

The Catalans value the attacking midfielder for his goalscoring output - he's got 29 goals in 145 appearances for RB Leipzig - so he could be really helpful in that advanced role.

Option 2

Olmo could comfortably fit in Barca's midield trio too – no matter if he plays closer to the right or to the left. He would push forward a lot to support the attackers or look for a goal himself.

Option 3

Dani Olmo could also cover for Lamine Yamal on the right wing – this is where he usually plays for RB Leipzig this season.

Just like in the first option, the Spaniard would mostly occupy the half-space instead of being a wide winger like Yamal.
