With his contract at Estadio da Luz expiring in a month, Angel Di Maria is likely to leave Benfica as a free agent in June.
The 36-year-old Argentine has been heavily linked with a move to Inter Miami for a while now.
Not just linked – according to the latest reports from multiple sources, the player has reached a full agreement with the MLS side.
However, the move appears to be unfeasible in financial terms at the moment.
Unless David Beckham finds a way to free up some salary-cap space for Fideo in the summer, the Messi reunion will have to wait until January 2025.
