Ferran Torres and 9 more players who could still leave Barca this summer – probability ratings
Since June, Barcelona have offloaded eight players, generating a modest €30 million in revenue.
With the summer transfer window still open, the Catalans are looking to secure additional funds or at least lighten their wage bill.
So, here’s a list of players who could still end up leaving the club, along with their probability ratings:
Ilkay Gundogan - 90%. The midfielder could end up re-signing for Man City.
Vitor Roque – 90%. Two clubs are vying for the player’s signature: Sporting and Real Betis. The latter are offering better terms, prepared to pay €30 million for the Brazilian striker.
Mika Faye – 90%. The same situation applies to the young Senegalese defender, with both Lille and Rennes bidding for his signature.
Clement Lenglet - 90%. The Frenchman is expected to join Atletico Madrid on loan. Los Colchoneros will cover eighty percent of his salary.
Andreas Christensen - 45%. Newcastle United have shown interest in signing him permanently. The player's departure largely depends on Barcelona's decision regarding the signing of a new defensive midfielder.
Ferran Torres - 45%. 'The Magpies are also interested in bringing the Spaniard to St James’ Park and are rumored to make an official bid in the coming days. The player is likely to insist on staying, as he has in previous summers.
Ansu Fati - 40%. The La Masia graduate had clubs like Sevilla and Fenerbahçe lined up for his signature, but an unfortunate foot injury has thrown a wrench in those plans. It remains to be seen whether he will stay as a backup option on the left or.. leave on loan in September.
Raphinha – 30%. The Brazilian winger has three years left on his contract and is eager to see it through. The only thing that could accelerate his departure – someone like Rafael Leão.
Frenkie De Jong - 20%. The Dutchman was a top candidate to leave this summer, but his ankle injury has made things more complicated – no club would want to pursue a player who’s been out of action for four months with no return date in sight. So, unless a desperate last-minute offer comes in, the midfielder is staying in Spain.
Ronald Araujo - 10%. Like Frenkie, the center-back was seen as a potential departure candidate at the end of last season. However, a serious injury during international duty with Uruguay has put an end to those rumors. Talk of his exit now seems likely to be postponed until January at the very least.
