Lamine Yamal was the most searched football player on Google in the year 2024, the platform has confirmed
He was searched on Google much more often than the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or even Ballon d'Or winner Rodri.
Yamal had a memorable 2024 in which he was able to break through for Barcelona and Spain.
The teenage sensation was one of the best players in Euro 2024, helping Spain clinch the title and having five goal contributions (one goal, four assists).
He's also been performing at a very high level for Barcelona, and even won the 2024 Golden Boy and Kopa Trophy awards.
