Former Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri was given a two-game ban for his conduct during the match between his Lazio side and AC Milan.
Sarri was sent off in the final minutes of the game after an on-pitch row with Alexis Saelemaekers, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic was forced to act as a peacemaker.
"Disqualification for two matches for having, at the end of the match, on the playing field, sought a verbal confrontation with a player of the opposing team," the official statement reads.
"Assuming an intimitading attitude and using threatening words against him; as well as after the sending off, for having challenged the referee’s decision by uttering blasphemous expressions in the tunnel leading to the dressing rooms."
Blasphemy is quite a serious offence as such in Italy: even players like Gianluigi Buffon cannot escape bans from the football authorities according to a 'Blasphemy Law'.
Fortunately for Sarri, he'll be back in the dugout in time for the derby against Jose Mourinho's Roma on September 26.
