Chaos ensued in the Ligue 1 game between Lille and RC Lens after the latter side’s fans invaded the pitch during the game.
Before the start of the second half, the Lens fans charged onto the pitch and tried to storm into the Lille supporters’ stands looking for a fight.
Ultimately, the riot police had to be called on to calm the situation and escort the fans out of the stadium for the offense.
The game was ultimately delayed for 90 minutes before the second half could kick-off.
Lens eventually picked up a 1-0 win to get the last laugh.
This is the second Ligue 1 match being impacted by fans invading the pitch – as a similar thing also happened when Lille fans stormed the ground during their game against Marseille a few weeks ago.
