Revealed: Highest-paid footballers in the world in 2021

Forbes have released their annual list of highest-paid footballers in the world following the turbulent summer transfer window.

Although it's been reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has taken a pay cut to join Manchester United, the Portuguese is named at the top of the list.

The Portuguese's annual earnings add up to a whopping $125 million ($70 million salary plus $55 million in indorsements). Lionel Messi is second with $110 million total.

Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar completes the top 3 at $95 million, while his teammate Kylian Mbappe is fourth ($43 million), followed by Liverpool's Mohamed Salah ($41 million) in fifth place.
